An Obscure Place

Surrounded by beauty and silence, I could almost feel the amber rays gaze at me, saying goodbye, just before darkness takes over. The rocks towered over me, I was no match. I was at peace, and in sync with myself. The Earth and I felt as one. It was almost as if it was the only thing I ever needed. There was a bond between us, unlike any other. I could be it's company whenever needed. Now it is just myself and the fluorescent light that stalks over the landscape like infinite eyes incapable to blink. An abundance of dreams, disguised as the dirt. Being here makes me feel obscure, but I'm overcrowded by positive energy. I was trapped in the clutches of this place, although it is nothing I can fight. No dream, or emotion can compare to this. I could be here viewing the seemingly limitless sight, until the day I die......I am home.....as it is far from here.
